Technical Rescue 49-5 – 1992 Mack MR/Emergency One
Formerly assigned as the first due heavy rescue, it was reassigned as Technical Rescue 49-5 with the arrival of Heavy Rescue 49-5 in 2010. It features a 35kw PTO generator, 20kw of fixed and portable lighting, an on-board compressor with two 200′ air reels, a 9,000 pound front mounted winch and an A-frame assembly rated at 4,000 pounds. Its’ extensive equipment complement includes a dual tool gasoline power plant supplying two pre-connected T-N-T extrication tools on 100′ reels (28″ spreader, cutter and four assorted size rams) , two pre-connected bumper mounted reciprocating saws, a Paratech® Maxiforce 10 piece air bag system rated to 327.5 tons, Paratech® rescue struts, rope rescue gear, chain/rotary saws, four Scott 45 minute SCBA, 56’ of ground ladders, assorted extinguishers and a Bullard thermal imager.
